As composers ourselves, we know that great recordings are a vital part of your creative portfolio. For vocal music in particular, midi realizations or artificially auto-tuned and multi-tracked demos don't offer the vitality needed to promote your work. To help composers get great realizations of their work (especially at a time when live performances are scarce) HEX is offering high quality studio recordings of your new choral piece performed by top professionals in Los Angeles. Our members have performed as choristers and soloists with such groups as LA Opera, LA Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Master Chorale, and The Industry Opera as well as appearing in blockbuster film soundtracks, TV shows, and video games.
HEX specializes in recording a cappella pieces in a variety of styles from experimental new music to straight-tone polyphony and choral pop fusion. Our roster of singers ranges up to 12 voices with individuals who specialize in jazz, broadway belting, R&B, overtone singing, yodeling, and other vocal styles and techniques.
Clients will receive:
• A high quality studio recording of their piece
• Will include basic editing and mixing
• Isolated tracks for each part that can be used as rehearsal tracks
Cost: Recordings may vary depending on the length and difficulty of the piece, but on average will cost $100 per part for a piece under 5 minutes.
Composer provides: Score, midi guide / click track, additional performance directions as needed.
